I planned to activate today Oct 5, 2021, the highest summit of the Krk island, in Croatia.
The weather decided differently. When I reached the summit, I could sea rain coming. Hey, the rain forecast was for the evening, not at noon ! I started to erect the antenna. But while doing so, in a high wind, there was some static. So I repacked in a minute. Fast enough to protect everything from the rain.
And then, rain, heavy rain, hail, lightning, and the noise from the thunderstorm.
I was not expecting a thunderstorm. I have never been so wet. I never had so much water in a 1.5 hour walk. I am happy I am safe !
