6m and 23cm from G/WB-006, G/WB-005 and G/WB-015

I’ll be activating my first G/WB this weekend and will be bringing the 23cm handheld along with me - if anyone is up for a microwave QSO or S2S. I’ll be monitoring 1297.5MHz and will also spot from G/WB-006 (10 UTC), G/WB-005 (12 UTC) and G/WB-015 (14 UTC).

Dave

OK Dave, I’ll have a listen for you (using horizontal polarisation).
I recall working G4VFL on 23cm from some of the WB summits, back in 2019.

Here is the log extract from the activations. You may want to send an alert out to these stations by e-mail.

I am tied up ringing bells for a wedding so the only hope is G/WB-015 but from the G/LD the path profile would be very marginal to non existent.

This is the kit I use VX-6 and Sg-Lab Xverter and a few elements.

Hi Dave, I’ll be setting up for VHF NFD a few miles north west of there - not on a SOTA summit - but I’m taking my 23Cm portable kit, so will try to look out for your spots…

Thanks Ross. Looking forward to making the contact if it’s possible.

Dave

Seeing the number of contacts made with him in this log I should let you know that, sadly, it appears that G3XEV is SK.
Good luck,
Rod

Nice setup Andrew. This will be my first adventure into microwave, so just the handheld with me this time. Maybe SSB next time when I’ve persuade the xyl I deserve a transverter.
