Weather has cancelled my 3rd attempt to get across to Bardsey Island tomorrow (10/4/26). Alert cancelled.
Let’s hope for 4th time lucky, because I’m running out of unactivated nearby alternatives!

It took me 3 attempts to get across.
I think I ended up camping nearby for a few days which gave a decent enough window for some good weather on one of them.

It’s in the same class of event as getting to Fair Isle or Foula. There are boats and planes that do the trip regularly. Until they don’t because of the WX. And you don’t really want to end up on the island and not able to get off. I remember John G3WFK saying he took his campervan to Shetland for a 3 week stay to give him sufficient time there for a good weather window for Foula.
