Finally back on 2M chasing as the 857D gone bit deaf but all sorted now thanks to James at the shack in Cornwall, And the Death ray is up and running also and appears to have ears again thanks to radio working proper like.

Bit late to the party (only just found this thread) but sounds like you’ve got a good system there Carl.
Unfortunately 2m is fairly hopeless from my home QTH. Before I took the 2m antenna down I could get G/SE-001, G/CE-001 and maybe a couple of the bigger summits in South Wales. That was about it!
I really need a house on higher ground and/or a much taller mast!
