2026 SOTA Kentucky Campout

SAVE THE DATE: We will be hosting the fourth annual SOTA Kentucky Campout the weekend of March 28, 2026! Much like last year, come and go as you can and we’ll host a pancake breakfast at 8:00amET on Sunday morning. (Pancakes and syrup will be provided; feel free to bring anything else you’d like to prepare for yourself and others before heading out!)

Where: Kingdom Come State Park, Cumberland, KY

Reservations: Kingdom Come State Park is transitioning to online reservations! This process has taken longer than anticipated, but they hope to have things up and running in a few weeks. I’ll post again once the system is up and running.

We’ll look forward to welcoming any and all that can attend to explore the Eastern Mountains of the Bluegrass State together. There are plenty of previously-activated summits within an 1.5 hour drive of the campground (and many unactivated to explore as well!)

Watch this space for more info!

FINALLY we have reservation information! (The online portal project fell through so they are back to their old system. The park staff wanted me to pass along their apologies for the delay and thanks for our patience.)

Reservations: Please call (606) 589-4138 or email Sherry at Sherry.Cornett@ky.gov to reserve a spot. Let me know once you do so I can create an attendee listing!

Looking forward to gathering again this year!

Hey Folks, was excellent to see you at the campout. We had our best weather so far this year! I’m headed back to Cumberland this weekend and plan to activate W4K/EC-001 on Friday 4/10/26 and W4K/EC-020 on Saturday 4/11. Both activations around 17:30 UTC if anyone looking for completes. I’ll work ssb on 20 and maybe 40 if I can get my endfed up without going too deep into the sticker bushes & poison ivy. 73, Bob - W4BTH
