Lol.
I donāt really have any skin in the game, so Iāve pushed a points-order update to the API. If any one complains (and I can almost guarantee someone will), they can refer to this thread.
ā¦hi Ian all along I thought this was for wingers postings..

Not complaining Geoff just trying to grasp the concept so we do the right thing by SOTA.
In the Spirit of the activity to quote another cliche etc etc.
Like any other VHF/UHF activity with multipliers added into the score confusion is added also.
Just looking back at 45 years of those types of contests/activities.
Last you will hear of me thanks for listening.

After 280+ posts and being a bear of very little brain, Iāve completely lost track of how itās all supposed to work now ![]()
Standard SOTA rulesā¦
Work everyone, log everything and the let database show the results,
Wilco boss ![]()
i have a question about scoring:
on 1. january i worked the same activator on 3 different summits (as chaser)
but only one summit and distance was counted. is this the final plan?
It certainly wasnāt the intention during MT discussions. I suspect a glitch.
i found out that some summits have no distance in the log. i will try to use %QRA%JN78xx% in the commentrs.
edit: this is not working for chasers
ok new info: if there is no distance in the table, you have to edit the log and save again, then it works
Come on Brian, you know we have a program that each day picks one user out of the 35000+ we have registered and plays with their logs just for s***s and giggles ![]()
I tried logging the activations you had a problem with this morning from SOTAwatch. Each time I clicked and submitted the chase, I was awarded challenge points. I did that to see if there was anything strange in the summit definitions but there wasnāt. Why it didnāt work for you, I donāt know, but it is working now when I tried it.
Thanks for this.
My activator score is
![]()
However my score is missing my S2S contacts as they donāt have a distance:
My S2S logs shows them:
And they have been registered in my chaser score:
I entered locator squares for the 4 contacts with distances but not for the S2S as the database knows where the summits are.
I donāt know if this is relevant, but youāll see both contacts scored zero S2S points. Thatās because Iād already worked them both on 2m FM and one of them on 20m CW.
SHUSH! ![]()
How did you log them Richard? (Just in case there is a difference in some logging methods)
Create ADIF with FLE then ADIF upload.
S2S contacts are chaser contacts. The score is in your chaser challenge.
