2025 Queens of the Mountain certificates now available

Thank you to everyone who participated in the second annual Queens of the Mountains earlier this month. As this is the first year the event went international, we were pleased to see YLs from around the world activating summits. We also were thrilled to once again receiving the support and chases from our SOTA guy pals. Most important – everyone had lots of fun!

We are emailing certificates to anyone qualifying for one or more of the QoM achievements (see below for list of the achievements). We also will base the issuance of the K1LIZ Memorial Award in part on achievements accomplished. If you would like a certificate, please email a copy of your QoM log to Paula K9IR: radiok9ir at gmail.com. The log can be in the form of a .csv or .adf file, a spreadsheet, or a picture or scan of your paper log pages. Be sure to tell us the achievements for which you’re applying.

ALL chasers contacting 5 or more YL activators are eligible for a certificate. In addition, we had 6 achievements for YL activators to target:

First SOTA activation
S2S QSOs with at least two licensed YLs
QSOs with at least 2 licensed DX YLs
Joint activation with another licensed YL
Minimum 5 QSOs with YL chasers (exclusive of the QSOs that qualify for YL S2S and YL DX QSOs)
Minimum two QSOs on EACH of 2 different modes

Note: only QSOs that qualify to be counted for SOTA can be counted toward the achievements.

I worked a total of 5 on CW, 3 on one day and then 2 (2 of those were repeats of the first day but at different summits), do I still qualify for a certificate ? I only work CW. de W6LEN / Jess
