2016 SOTA Exped to Portugal

Have started long range planning for a 7 day SOTA Exped trip to Portugal next October/November 2016. I am after information regarding sources of good walking maps for the CT/BL & BB areas. I am also looking for thoughts and ideas on accommodation. My XYL is staying at Vale do Serrão but I can relocate to anywhere within the two regions as I will have a hire car.

Any thoughts, help and advise will be greatly appreciated.

I will be pleased to provide information about those regions which I know well.

Is Vale do Serrão near Dornes, Ferreira do Zêzere (road N238)?
If so, you are almost in the geographic middle of the country!
