Good afternoon

Maybe not Joe, it seems to be expected flood and so on is late a bit in comparison with its forecast.
I came from OK right now, all the way was raining but it was small rain despite on expected drastic danger - Czech people were asked not to go to forests and parks this afternoon but environment is quite fine, except that it is raining.
I hope fear was stronger than upcoming realty.
Anyway Gasthof is fine and here we will stay safe.

Hallo Zusammen,
Leider ist es uns Heuer nicht möglich beim Sota Tag dabei zu sein.
Wünsche euch trotz dem schlechten Wetter alles Gute.

Friends,
Many thanks for nice meeting
WX did not supported much but the atmosphere at the meeting was great as always

With NÖ now a disaster zone, I think it was absolutely the right decision to stay off the hills yesterday.
The roof of the local primary school was torn off last night.
It’s actually a double whammy for the school, as what you see was a temporary structure, erected after the old school building was destroyed by flooding in May. It remains to me seen, how badly the underlying structure is damaged and if it is still usable. The main entrance looks completely wrecked. Power was off here all night, it just came back on an hour ago.

Home sweet home …
Finally I came back
My OE5 SOTA trip taken about 1 week.
I activated:
in OK/JC - 15 summits
in DM/BM - 5 summits
in OE/OO - 1 summit
For the SOTA meeting to those words that I already written above I would like to underline that meeting place was chosen by Joe @OE5JFE perfectly - people there are very kind and I spent those 2 days there with the highest pleasure
Way back was let say escape from the flood.
A1 highway was already closed before Vienna:
In Czech mostly OK - the potential danger place in South Czech allowed me to pass through safely:
D1 highway in north part of Czech was closed and I chose another way (D48):
On the final stage (50km before my QTH) I must do one circle due to local flood:
Finally I guess it was the last more or less possible moment to drive from Austria to Poland.
I will anxiously wait for the next OE5 SOTA day, and before that - very soon - the 3 x MG celebration of Joe @OE5JFE

Good to hear Jarek that you safely made it home to SP.
There was a report about a dam break in the south of SP. Also like shown by you and Matt in Lower-Austria OE3 lot’s of damage and state of emergency declared.
I wish everyone in affected areas all the best.
But looking at the bright side of things… the show must go on and the sunny autumn wx is already on the way for next weekend.

And here some picture (taken by Jarek) from the event:
In Poland, the areas most affected by floods are around:
Beside this many roads are blocked and some bridges have collapsed. The national park where
SP/KA-002 is situated is closed.
In the coming weeks (if not months), it’s best to check local conditions before any activation in the following SOTA regions: KA, SP, SS, SW, SZ.
