Ah yes, but my excuse is that although I was very active in the LD’s twenty / thirty / forty years back, I have forgotten much of what I know about the Lakes. If only it wasn’t so far away… Soon going there will become a necessity!

Q31) What was the first SOTA summit ever to be chased on CW, and by who?

On the assumption that Richard G3CWI is likely to have been the first activator to use CW, the first chaser on the mode was Tim G4VXE… but if you refer to the first logged CW chaser record, I would expect that to be Phil G4OBK… and the summit, The Long Mynd on 2nd March 2002.
