You need to have a local to be AM, so a permanent resident of 5Z4 land is needed.
I know a few, but not many radio amateurs… and the number of active local radio amateurs is very small.

Indeed. Run five watts, and you can talk half-way round the world, but run a hundred watts, and it’s much easier to talk to folks, and a whole lot more of them can hear you…
