There was an option in the ios app sotagoat that was vey handy (before it disappeared in a version upgrade). I dont know why it was removed.
You could clone an alert into a current spot and the spot would be nearly all populated from the details in the alert. You only needed to enter the frequency and mode. So your spot used the callsign and summit reference that the activator posted in the alert and were most likely accurate.
It just needed a “post spot” button on the alert detail page.
Please consider this option for a future update.
