Mull and Arran
Favourite locations for geology student field trips, which usually seem to happen at Easter, carefully arranged to coincide with the wettest possible weather. (I chose somewhere much hotter and drier for my final year’s project.)
Did you get a sandstorm?
Brian
No, the local hazzards were biting flies, puff adders, mambas and cobras. The occasional large wild animals usually kept their distance.

Keep listening but conditions not great, having said that I’ve worked 3 of them on 5 Mhz, 10 Mhz and 14 Mhz
Not a sniff here on any band - totally dead!
Same here on the Wirral Nothing heard except a few faint snatches of CW
Make that 5 bands now the latest being 18 Mhz and 3.5 Mhz
The advantage of a near all water ground path. Well done. Glyn
I could just about detect that Andy was in there on 14Mhz.
The others, nada, zilch…
For one brief moment I heard the faintest hint of someone that I think was Paul on 5.403, but nothing from anyone else as yet.
Nothing heard from the island here at anything more than “I guess there might be something there” levels, though I’ve heard one or two CW stations apparenty working them. I hope they all manage to make enough contacts to get the points…
I worked Paul on 5.4035 OK, but could barely tell he was there on 3.666. Waiting now for 7 megs. Seems they lucked out with the WX.

Damn the prop gods, they tease
Heard the call on 14295 for 15 seconds then GONE argghhhhhhh

Oops it’s getting embarrassing, 144 Mhz added to the tally just now.
All yeah need now is 6 and 10m to boot
karl
Funny you should say that coz I’ve just worked it on 50 Mhz…
That’s you off the Christmas card list
What freq was that ? (no spot seen and nothing heard).
