Hi, I’m Matt.
I am a specialist field engineer working in the heavy plant and mining sector, I’ve been interested in radio since a young lad but only recently in August of 2021, with a little spare time did i take my exams to become MW0KAX, passing all three exams within the month (lots of studying). I enjoy most aspects of radio but mainly find myself operating portable from a summit since being introduced to SOTA by Ben GW4BML, Mal GW6OVD, Kevin MW0KXN and Ian 2W0IWM, The support ive had from these guys in learning the ropes has been fantastic.

Recently started my journey into CW, and again i have Ben and Kevin to thank for introducing me into this interesting yet difficult part of the hobby, however with great support from Kevin, Ben and another now good friend met through radio and in particular CW Steve MW0SAW im slowly starting to get the hang of it (very slowly )
