Ham since 2004. I got back into radio, relearned code, and started doing SOTA in 2016. I’m mainly an activator, but if I can hear a summit I’ll try to work them. I got out often with KN6REU, and we have a joint YouTube channel: ham_bitious (https://www.youtube.com/c/hambitious)

I have two portable setups. The lightweight one is a MTR 3B with a K6ARK end fed. I have small LiPo batteries for power. The second, all-band, all-mode setup is a KX3 with all the options and a 5000 mAh LiPo. The KX3 antenna is a 41’ wire with a 9:1.
For VHF I use my Kenwood TH-F6a and a 11 inch whip. For contests I’ll bring yagis and transverters to be on all bands 50-1296. Hopefully my 10GHz setup will make it to a summit soon.
I also enjoy taking homebrew rigs up to use. Favorites include my 5Watter (40m), SW-40+, QCX-mini (17m).

I live and work as an electrical engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area, and so the majority of my activations have been in California (W6), especially the Bay Area.
