I got my Foundation Licence in 2020. As I’m a keen walker and living in Wales, SOTA seemed very interesting when I first heard about it during my Foundation exam.
I am using the same portable setup for activating and chasing. It makes for great practise getting used to the equipment, but does mean my chasing is somewhat weather dependent.
I am currently learning Morse code for future CW use to make the most of my allowed 10W and have just joined the Long Island CW club to help with that.
