I’m off to the Galashiels Rally on the 26 October and if the 10m or
15m Band conditions are favourable, I may just put MM6MMM to the test
with a deadly combination of the FT-857 and Antron-99, on one of the
GM summits
GM/SS-214 Eildon Mid Hill is near Galashiels, Mickey. It’s a nice easy one! I climbed it with my Dad when I was 5 years old.

Sounds like a plan to me, Walt. I’ll probably go up on Friday and book into my favorite B&B. Just hope I dont’t hear the dreaded “CQ contest” call that weekend… BTW, VHF looks to be a bit of a challenge!

Having made 1830 contacts in 24 activations on the 2m band since aquiring the X-300 …an average of 76 contacts per activation, I plan to stay addicted to my damp noodle, Andy
