WA7JTM/p 12 Meter Europe opening today

I just got home from my 3 summit activation today here in Arizona. I went out of my way to be set up early on a summit to see if I could work a Europe station on 12 Meters. I failed. I was able to work 18 Europe stations in 11 DXCC countries between 1520 and 1638. I also worked JA on the third summit later in the day. Missed a VK5…barely.

It was and unbelievable opening. Apparently my new dipole works! Thanks to all…still floating around the shack. Can’t wait to do it again.

Sorry Pete my ears were straining had my 7 el log pa pointed at you but no could not count that one as a contact . Just needed a lift of small amount and I would have heard you well enough . The chasers in USA were only 5/2 at best. Next time mate 73 de Ian vk5cz …

Ian,
Heard you calling me at least three times yesterday, but each time the QSB would take you out. The last I heard was you sending me 339, but I never heard you confirm the RST report I sent you…got everything but no confirmation, so no QSO…this time!

Turns out that the third mountain activated yesterday I was on had no clear access to the west, so I actually had to set up on the east side of the mountain, down the side some 50 feet. That bad location no doubt cost me a few db in your direction.

Anyhow, tnx for trying. I look forward to working u soon. I may be on some more 10 pointers next weekend.

After working the Ukraine, Denmark, England, Germany, France, Slovakia, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, N. Ireland, Balearic Islands, Finland, and Japan yesterday with my 5 watts and a dipole I am anxious to get out and do it again.

Tnx es 73
