Parked at Snow Blaze Condominiums and road MTB up logging roads on Inland Empire Co property with required permit. Route was mostly traverse with some shallow climbs and descents. Once at the end of the road at N47 56 42.5 W 117 02 59, ditched the bike in some brush and hiked the remaining 1/2 mile to the summit.
Contacts on a HT at 2 to 5w were solid, with five contacts logged in about 30 min. Return to parking lot via the same route. Multiple creek crossing with plenty of water in late summer to filter if need be. The first mile has ample shade from the Snow Blaze parking lot, but the rest of the route is almost completely exposed. One hunter in a pickup, probably scouting but didn’t see anyone else all day.
Lastly, once you hit the end of the road which circles the summit, be prepared to bushwhack on one of the grown over logging trails to the top, about a half mile. In hindsight I would have swapped to hiking shoes and flat pedals versus cleats for this section alone. Total ride 13.2 miles, beautiful country.
