W7M SF 001 Tomorrow is the day.

Tomorrow I will attempt to activate Granite Peak, Montana in a straight through push. I expect the entire process to take between 14-18 hours. I will be facing a 24 mile hike round trip not including the 800 feet of 5th class climbing. I expect to start hiking at 0430 MST ( 1100 UTC ) Hopefully seeing summit around 1200 MST ( 1900 UTC ). I plan on a maximum time on summit of 2 hours. Chasing is much appreciated, this summit is considered to be the most challenging in the lower 48 states. Please keep an eye out for my spot and wish me luck!

My kit will include everything in the photo attached.
Icom IC 705
BP307 battery ( 5 watts )
Satellite Messenger ( spot x ) will self spot

Thank you! I am more than excited.

I wish you the best luck and success.
I’ll be looking for your signal on 20m CW, although I know it will be very, very difficult.
Don’t forget the most important part of it: ENJOY!

CONGRATS ROB!
Just worked you on Granite. Nice signals into Tucson this afternoon.
Getting an unactivated 10-pointer is extra special, particularly one like that.
All Best, Ken, K6HPX
