VPX/BML GW/NW completion

It is my understanding that Allan @GW4VPX, followed a few hours later by Ben @GW4BML finished off activity every unique SOTA summit in North Wales GW/NW today.

My congratulations and respect to them both. In
particular, Ben has reached this goal in remarkably quick time. It’s a huge region with lots of demanding summits.

The All-GW completion is set to follow for both in the next few weeks.

Furthermore, I understand Ben actually did the lot with a 12 month period!

Hi John.

Thank you John but I think it has gone without mention here that you have completed the activation of all of GW lately. Congratulations. Looking forward to our next s2s

Yes, I think that one slipped under the radar. Excellent achievement John - any chance of a photo for some publicity. Same for you Allan and Ben when you complete GW shortly. You’ll be needing some coverage soon Ben, as I don’t think you’ve been highlighted in the national media for over a fortnight now…

Many congrats to both Allan and Ben on completing GW/NW. It has been fun watching the race and extra congrats to GW4VPX for winning the final sprint! I hope your completion lasts longer than our did as Rhinog Fach was suddenly added and is still on the’ to do’ list.

Also it is more congratulations - this time to John G4TQE - for completing the whole of GW. A long, but usually enjoyable, task. Unfortunately we (with M0JLA) have to admit that we are another one short here as we have not yet activated GW/MW-032 but we are still hoping.

Best of luck to all in reaching further targets - onwards and upwards!

Congratulation both!

It’s a tough one… if you live locally it can be done (the challenge is Bardsey). I recall Barry MW0IML doing it a few years ago too.

It’s cost me an arm and a leg and many early mornings  a two to three hour drive most weekends just there  but it was worth it!
