VK's highest peak combined with VI100ACT callsign

Hi all

Andrew VK1DA and I (Andrew VK1NAM) are planning to activate Mt Kosciuszko VK2/SM-001, Australia’s highest peak on Monday 30 Dec 13 local.

Combined with the SOTA activation, I will be activating the Centenary of Canberra special event callsign VI100ACT issued to the CRACR for the Centenary celebrations.

I will be operating the FT857D up to 60 watts into a link dipole, same set up as for VK1 summit activations into the EU/UK.

Hello Andrew, will listen out for you. There have been a lot of storms in the UK. Here - lost my 40M antenna and about 50 metres of fencing and a lot of tree debris created. Another storm is forecast here for Monday 30th - so fingers crossed 8) Good luck to you both for the activation & best wishes for 2014 +
