VK1 to celebrate 6 Months of SOTA – 11 August 20

VK1 SOTA participants are planning to celebrate 6 months of SOTA in VK1 on Sunday 11 August 2013, with simultaneous activations of VK1 SOTA summits commencing at 09:15 local, 2315 UTC Saturday 10 August 2013. VK1 is the Australian Capital Territory and the home of Australia’s Federal Government in the city of Canberra.

The list of activators is growing with 9 summits in the list:

In order to extend daylight coverage into VK5, 6 & 8, I (Ed VK2JI) will be activating Mt Taylor mainly using 20m SSB (14.342 +_ QRM) but will have a 2m FM HT for local S2S as well.

The VK2 (Central Coast, NSW) “Invaders” consist of Jim VK2LC, Rod VK2LAX and myself.
Jim & Rod will be running around the usual 40m frequencies.
