Hi all,

Just some more advanced notice that there is 2 VK1 Groups heading out on Saturday to work multiple summits each.

Myself, VK1DA andf VK1BL will be heading to VK2/ST-008,005& 004

With the arrival of some new light weight digi kit (from XGGComms) in the UK, I am now carrying portable digital (all mode) in the bush. If the SSB falls away in busyness I might fire up JS8 on 40 or 20.

For those that don’t know JS8 is a keyboard mode, at ft8 speed. A number of videos online showing it. I ran it during the QRP hours contest last weekend and it netted me a contact so happy with that. If there is interest I might do my own JS8 VK Portable video.

Hi Wade

I will head out early and try give you guys some S2S points but remember after UTC rollover the CQWW Contest starts so all hell will break loose, so might be WARC bands or CW after that. Its 3 hours earlier for me in VK6 so I need to be up early probably about 5:30am to get to a Summit and set up to beat UTC.
