Next week, I will travel to the Lake District for some SOTA activitions. Among some other summits I will try to activate Scafell Pike, G/LD-001 - the top of England. After Ben Nevis in 2012 and Yr Wyddfa in 2013 this will complete my personal “3-Peaks-Challenge”. (I know - some climb all three summits within 24 hours, but not many radio-amateurs did activate all three, and, as far as I know, never anybody from outside UK.) So it is quite a challenge for me - let’s hope for the best!
I will concentrate on HF (but also bring a 2m handheld) and WX permitting, I would like to stay on the summit for some time to reach as many stations as possible. Hope to meet you …

Wish you the the best of luck,and of course the the best of WX will be listing for you i was on the summit on Monday 5/5/14 wx cleared for us the cloud lifted to give us good views i completed 214 Wainwright summits on Great End the next Wainwright summit down more info on WOTA WEB also if you contact DEREK 2E0MIX iam sure he will give you any info you need on Scafell Pike? 2m will work fine up thier, best of luck

would have been nice, to accompany you on your tour, but as I’ve told you already, I will be on SOTA tour the last week in May and my job doesn’t allow at the moment to be absent for 2 weeks.
