A sunny sunday after a loooong rainy period and a relaxed lockdown (3hours and 20km max) were enough to decide me to activate a rather close summit : TK/TK-095.
I decided to try a path i never used before. On the map it was shorter than the “regular” path, but after a few km it completely disappeared in the bushes and trees… Walking back ? Never !
I very often had to crawl and walk bent, hooking the branches covered by rain drops… These were the longest kms i’ve ever made and i finished completely wet like if i had taken a bath ! I only met 2 hunting dogs during the whole day, only beings that could find me in the famous corsican “maquis”…
The SW-3B and his 5W into a linked EFHW allowed me to make 27 QSOs on 20m only, the 40m was crowded by italian contesters…
Needless to say, i used a more conventional trail back to my car, but even there i had to climb over barbed wire fences… Another hole in my pants.
Thanks to all chasers, more particularly the NA stations !

Oops !
Thanks for correcting my post.
Sorry for the fog… I will probably discover that during my Xmas holidays “im Elsass” …
We never have fog here at sea level.

Yes, no hunters during lockdown and my first concern was to be as stealthy as possible, the best policeman would have been unable to detect me… FOMEC as we say in the french army…
