41 QSOs all CW on 7Mhz and 10mhz. But:-
It was rather hard going in the snow, with the exception of the forest track especially, when I struck out across the moor.. I was post holeing a lot and eventually one foot -and leg - went through a consolidated drift deep into water and filled the boot up. It was at this point I realised I should have used my touring skis.
I found a suitable gully and set up my office which I hoped would be more sheltered than the sink hole at the trig point.
At 1400utc on 10mhz I got someone continually sending āditsā. Then this person started to send something like, "NO SOTA NO SOTA, QSY TO 27MC, My initial thought was i doing something wrong or was he a beginner and struggling to get me to reply. I called CQ SOTA again and they continued to jamming me with continual dits, and then said something like; āGO FOR 44 FOR SOTA, YOU NO SOTA - (it wasnāt good morse. āPIRATE HI HIā They wouldnāt stop so I moved on. It took me a while to realise he was simply wanting to be disruptive.
Iāve never had this sort of behaviour before. Unless I was doing something wrong, then I can only think this person had nothing better to do. Rather childish in my view.
Hi David, @M6GYU
These days the 30m band is a mess; Iāve noticed this for a while now. We still manage to make QSOs, though! Donāt get discouraged; making QSYs might be a lifesaver.

Absolutely Eric⦠the RBN is our friend and we should use it to our advantage. A quick QSY inconveniences the perpetrators more than the chasers who will understand what is happening and take the move in their stride. If a band change is the best option, then the activator can always come back to the original band in due course.
In my experience the commitment of the chasers will outweigh that of the idiots playing the stupid games.
