Thanks UK GUYS!

Was activating Hemlock Knob in Tennessee and had the opportunity to work several UK and Europe chasers today on 12m. What an awesome day, thanks to all the chasers across the pond. I have some film and pics so I will work up an activation report and a video when I get home.

Yeah, 12 metres was working interestingly today. 12 watts SSB from my KX3 into a cobweb at this end. Good fun, and thanks for the activation!

It’s amazing what the KX3 can do with 12w.

Given the compromise of an antenna I was using I was quite surprised to hear you, and even more surprised that you heard me. A few minutes after our contact the band picked up very nicely indeed, and your signal came up 2 or 3 s-points. What power and antenna were you using?

The thanks go to you activators John for giving us the chance to work SOTA dx.
Look forward to the next.73 Don G0RQL.

Well said Don I totally agree with you on that.

Thanks for the QSO John. Until the 12m challenge started I had only worked one DX SOTA station and that was on 10m last November. Thanks to the 12m challenge I now have a few NA and a VK activator in the log

Hope to work more SOTA DX while the 12 and 10m bands are in good shape.

Make sure to check out the video at the end!
