It is reassuring that the BBC has resisted dumbing down its science coverage :rolleyes:

On the other hand, I think that it is disgraceful that they have failed to correctly attribute this to climate change…

I’m not sure what you mean, Andrew. Are you suggesting that terrestrial climate change is affecting the sun, or are you suggesting that the sun is affecting terrestrial climate change? If the latter, note that insolation (the energy received by the Earth from the sun) actually fell slightly during the recent decades of global warming!
