I have rescued this one year old thread and slightly changed its title to 2017 & 2018.
This is the summary of my SOTA activations this summer in EA1 area:
17 activations (same as in 2017. What a coincidence! 
)
645 QSOs (34 less than in 2017 
)
32 points earned (4 more than in 2017 
)
20640 points given out (1628 more than in 2017 
)
Uncountable amounts of fun too but even more than in 2017 because I activated 15 different summits this year (3 different summits more than in 2017 )
Again highly recommendable. Many of these are drive-on and the rest are easy ones requiring simple hikes of less than 30 minutes. Should you feel interested in activating some of them, don’t hesitate to ask me for help, directions and tips.
