Sounds like you need to get it insured (if it isn’t already) and then “accidentally” stand on it. Should be easy - do a joint activation with Mike and he do it for you!

I’m a big fan of Android and numerous phones have passed through my hands (yes that includes some excellent HTC ones).
The first thing I do is Root them and load an alternative ROM.
Currently using Cyanogenmod which has ROMS for just about every device known to man (and women). http://www.cyanogenmod.org/
For the phones I acquire I either keep them as backups or pass them onto friends and relatives.
