I was hoping for one in 1982. I got a ZX81. That was my dad’s “sense of humour”.
But fast forward from age 12 to age 50, and for Christmas week 2020, I set myself a little challenge of activating on every* band across the spectrum - well those that I do anyway*.
*I missed out 160m because my first /P attempts earlier in the year were unwieldy and not very good. Maybe in 2021 I’ll sort out some loading coils for my BH4.
*I don’t have 4m, or 23cm and up.

Today’s activation brought my total to 536 SOTA activations in the year 2020. That’s the most I’ve done in a year, but it could have been more without a back injury, contracting Covid-19, and of course the first lockdown.
I’ve visited 117 unique summits during 2020 - so they haven’t all been on The Cloud G/SP-015 - although they probably will be for the foreseeable future!
