Spain's King Felipe VI and new prefixes for Spanis

Starting June 18th to September 18th 2014, Spanish hams are authorised to use spacial prefixes to conmemorate the arrival of the new king Felipe/Philippe VI
This is the news I’ve just got by e-mail.
You will start copying lots of AM01XYZ, AM02XYZ, AM03, AM04, AM05, AM06, AM07, AM08, AM09 from tomorrow on.
Same for AN and AO.

Autorización general de la SETSI para utilizar indicativos especiales de este tipo, del 18 de junio al 18 de septiembre del 2014, con motivo de la proclamación de D. Felipe de Borbón como rey de España.

Buenas tardes.

Con motivo de la proclamación de D. Felipe de Borbón como rey de España la Secretaría de Estado de Telecomunicaciones y para la Sociedad de la Información ha autorizado, a petición de una asociación de radioaficionados reconocida, la utilización de distintivos de llamada especiales para todos los radioaficionados conforme a lo siguiente:

    Período de utilización: 18 de junio - 18 de septiembre de 2014
    Composición del distintivo de llamada especial:
        Prefijo:
            Distintivos con prefijo EA, utilizarán el prefijo AM
            Distintivos con prefijo EB, utilizarán el prefijo AN
            Distintivos con prefijo EC, utilizarán el prefijo AO 
        Distrito: antepondrán la cifra 0 a su cifra de distrito
        Sufijo: el mismo del distintivo habitual del radioaficionado.

Well if I head any AM0* calls on SOTA I shall reply with my special MA prefix instead of MM, great for S2S with special calls on both ends!

Now that king Juan Carlos I will get retired, he’ll have time for hobbies and we may start hearing EA0JC more often on the air… perhaps becoming a SOTA chaser :wink:

Perhaps becoming a SOTA activator! He would not have to carry his own kit… and just think, he would have no access problems on any EA summit. :wink:

Well, I think today he will lose the Captain General rank of the spanish army to his son, so perhaps from now he would not be able to enter to certain summits… even by helicopter!
