We folks in NM and presumably elsewhere are having difficulty posting alerts today and within the past week. Posting attempts seem to be accepted but do not show up on line at the proper date/time or any other. I had to resort to SOTA Goat this morning to post for Alan NM5S.

Did you enter the date is US format? That certainly will fail if you try 02/18/2015 for the date.
No, I used the correct format and have probably posted successfully several hundred times 
Strange. SOTA Goat posts through the old spotlite interface rather than the webpage. I did some tests and alerts worked for me but that’s hardly significant statistically being a sample of one.
Next time it happens, go back one page in your browser and snapshot the screen and then email that to the MT.

Is there any difference between this and other alerts that you can think of that might give a clue as to why other attempts did not succeed,
John sent me a screen grab of an alert that failed. It contained an embedded quote which the parser rejected as malformed. The fix is not to use unbalanced quotes.
In the SOTA Goat case that worked, there is no comment at all. I’m sure exactly the same would have happened if the comment had been included. Or maybe SOTA Goat barfed on the comment and just passed the other details through.
