SOTAwatch Outages Today

Hi,

My sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by the outages of SOTAwatch during today.

I have needed to move the system to another server and it didn’t go quite as smoothly as I had anticipated. I had hoped for it to be seamless and unnoticed!

However, I think we are there. Please let me know of any further problems.

The links to summit info doesn’t seem to working from spots and alerts.
Clicking on link just gives blank page.

Minor one Jon.
Apostrophe in post is coming out as \\\\apostrophe eg this It\\\'s (typed correctly). And I only typed one slash

OK, I think I have solved the apostrope/slashes problem.

Let me know of any further issues that you see.

I still cannot edit out the backslashes in my posting. I have been able to get it down to one backslash per apostrophe, which is an improvement.

In reply to GM4ZFZ:

If I mouse-over G6SFP`s message re f/ab-295 Pointe de Lapaz, I can read it. But if I double click to open it, the message is missing.

Cancel the above - its ok now, maybe just a delay in the works.

In reply to G1INK:

I’ve just posted a new thread about radio gear and airports and all the single and double quotes are preceeded by one backslash.

My reply to Andy’s aforementioned post appears to be OK, unless I’ve missed something?

Figured it out. If you just enter a message then single and double quotes work fine. If you run the message the spell check option then the single backslash appears in front of the quote characters.

Hi Jon

The Daily Digest of messages that I get from the SOTA Reflector has ceased since we went over to the new server. Do I need to do anything at my end or do you need to configure something at the server end Jon?

Many Thanks
Phil

Sorry about this Phil, I hope to get this re-instated during today.

I can’t seem to “repli"icate” this one Andy, could you tell me exactly how to see it? I’ve tried running the spell check.
