On Tuesday 7 October at 1900 hrs, Kevin G3AAF, has asked me to deliver a SOTA talk at the Finningley Amateur Radio Society, Sandtoft which is located between Doncaster and Scunthorpe.

After the talk is over, we will be adjourning to the Reindeer public house, just a few hundred metres along the road, where I’ll happily continue to talk about SOTA, for as long as I’m supplied with extra cold Guinness…
For those amongst you who operate in the microwave bands, Kevin will need little or no introduction.
For any prospective SOTA builders who would like to familiarise themselves
with the art of surface mount technology and surface mount soldering, Kevin plans to
run a surface mount soldering day at the Finningley Amateur Radio
Society, sometime in near future, possibly November.
