I was thinking about all the fun I have activating summits and the folks that brave the elements to get on the air after “getting high”. What do we call ourselves? We need a name. I though, we are “People On PeakS” (POPS,) SOTA POPS. Maybe too much thin air at altitude is effecting my brain or the RF is messing with the gray matter between my ears, but I think we are “SOTA POPS”

“Getting high?”
Am I mis-reading this? What exactly do you mean?

Getting high, as on top of the summit. My attempt at humor.
In reply to N2SQ:
What about Sotactivator? hi
In reply to N2SQ:
SOTA POPS! Nice pun, a very fizzical branch of ham radio (groan!)

Hams really are bubbly people. I like getting high with SOTA.
In reply to N2SQ:
I think that name is already reserved for activator(s) over 70!
In reply to N1FJ:
Well, I am almost there.
SOTA POPS, trying to combat the SOTA fever using low level oxigen air environment at summits… good hit!
