Yes chaps - see my earlier post. I find the same. Rob is generally on to stuff quickly so he’s probably busy away from his desk…

Sorry people, I was busy yesterday (Thursday 20th) with a number of issues on the PC here, and let this one small error slip through. The QA department is confined to barracks over the weekend!

On the PC, I thought I’d somehow got a virus on the machine, but after trying a number of scans, it came up clean. Then I narrowed it down to a few websites in the browser - the SMP being one of them :frowning: - which appeared to be using 100% processor space and not releasing. In addition, a number of MS security helper programs were frantically busy trying to sort something out in the background. Then I remembered I’d permitted Firefox to do one of its’ updates the day before to yet another beta version of whatever number version they have now. So, I have a v25 version of Firefox which I keep on hand for such occasions, and which I (re-)installed over the latest beta - hey presto, the problems all went away. This is the second time I’ve had major problems with Firefox micro-beta updates - nonetheless it’s (still) my No. 1 browser.

So, two problems resolved. But, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind people that the most appropriate place for bug reports in the SMP is the “Contact” page in the SMP itself.

Thanks, hope all is running OK now in the SMP,
Rob

I have a part-time job to earn a few beans, and I’m here right now at the work-place using v27.0.1, and the site seems to be running OK here.

In reply to DM1CM:
Great job you are doing with the mapping project, best and simplest sota-planning tool there is.
I’ve just emptied th log, and cookies and stuff like that, and the sota mapping worked again

In reply to LA5XTA:

Thanks for the kind words - glad you can make use of it. I’m going to be busy over most of the weekend as a member of our club station DK0IW team in the CQ 160m SSB Contest - I hope nothing else goes wrong!!

Rob

In reply to DM1CM:
Indeed Rob - it is fixed. Using Firefox myself at V27 and Windows XP (old school). The text is now showing bold on the summits with downloaded tracks and it wasn’t two days ago. Yes, the project is proving extremely useful I concur.

Noted about the reporting of any issues in future via the Contacts page in SMP.
