On Sunday 19th August I activated the Sota reference I/TN-026 Cima Fradusta. This mountain is located on the Dolomites exactly in the Pale di San Martino group in northeastern Italy. The Cima Fradusta has an altitude of 2,939 meters above sea level and below there is a glacier that is now much reduced due to the well-known global climate changes.I reached the top after more than three hours of walking on a very sunny day.For the activation I used my elecraft kx1 and an end fed antenna. Unfortunately due to the wind (in some moments very strong) I was unable to install the antenna on the fishing rod but I simply threw the antenna horizontally between two stones.Ok, the antenna configuration wasn’t technically the best, I know that, but the alternative at almost 3,000 meters of altitude was to give up the activation. Despite everything I have connected about 14 European stations ( only on cw) to which I have provided a new reference that has never been activated!
