KG0D appears to be using folding dish for 23cm moonbounce and solid-state amps are now readily available, so drive-up summits are definitely possible…

I’ve seen a website selling dishes like that though I can’t find a link but they were not ruinously expensive compared to the rigs some have constructed for EME. But I suspect a big challenge is the tripod to support it unless you only ever tried when there was no wind.

It’s fantastic how easy EME connections are today…
When I think about it, I was one of the weakest stations in the late 80s / early 90s with 500 W in a 4 x 17elt group…
