SOTA Alert 'GB6MYG' - A Top Band Friday Night on Mynydd y Grug, GW/SW-042!

I wonder if my G5RV will load up on 160, it will probably be a first.

I logged several contacts on 160 with a G5RV, but it was wired as a doublet.

TNX Adrian @G4AZS for my first 160m CW SOTA chase!

I hope the others will be on 160m soon. They are not yet QRV and want to start on 80m…

@ DF7TR Great signal on G/LD-052, I was listening to Adrian’s QSOs with my SOTAbeams 80m dipole.

Hi Collin!

Sadly I missed you! I could have tried 80m as well. It is the same antenna for 80 and 160m, but it requires some manual band change outdoors.

Thanks for complementing my signal. These complements belong to the members of my local club who built the station! I was just using it

The 35 m vertical paired with the homebrew amplifier did a great job. And as this station is used for low-band DXing, we also have a long beverage antenna for RX pointing to North America. England just so happens to lie in exactly that direction, so this antenna proved very useful today.

Best 73s to all, thanks for my first top-band SOTA QSOs and have a good night :crescent_moon:
