Sorry for todays cancellation of my activations

Sorry for having to cancel my two activations today.

I just returned back from the emergency hospitalisation after a little accident during my ascending of my first planned summit. It should have been a very easy summit activation today, but I had to cross a little brook and in my silliness I jumped on a slippery stone. With the result of two nice cuts in the calf, one 5cm long and the other 10cm long, now already patched with 9 stitches.

Today my only activation will be the ascent of the north face of the sofa in my living room. Unfortunately it is not a valid SOTA summit, so don’t expect any points

I wish from the bottom of my heart all activators a save return from the summits.

I guess I will not be heard from a summit the next 2 weeks or so.

Sounds like a bit of bad luck that Stephan. Sorry to hear of your injury, and I hope you are feeling well enough to activate again soon. In the meantime, more time for SOTA chasing?

Thanks for all your kind words.
Next time I’ll be more careful. I’ve cancelled my vacation this week and limping a little bit around at work.

Looking forward to hear you soon on a summit.

Fortunately this was not true. Only six days later I was very happy to hear you from DL/KW-045. Seems you are virtually indestructable - or at least recovered enough to activate summits again. Very pleasing. All the best in the future.

In reply to DB7MM:

Hello Michael,

don’t tell it anybody, at least not my family physician
Threads are still sticking in my calf and will hopefully be pulled out at the end of this week. But the weather was too nice to stay at home and it was an easy walk to the summit.

It’s always nice to hear you on a SOTA activation Michael.
