Simon on GW/SW-005?

This morning I was on GW/SW-005 and several chaser started to greet me with “Simon”. Following RBN-Spot shows the name “Simon” when you hover the mouse over “GW/SW-005”.

My SOTA profile says “Dominik” and that’s the name I’m using on air since 1984 (sometimes abreviated to Nik oder Dom). No idea wher “Simon” is coming from.

I’ll finalize my SOTA adventures of GW/SW-005, 006 and 007 on my webpage http://hb9czf.wordpress.com when I return to HB9. If wx permits I’ll be on GW/SW-001 on Jan 1st.

It seems that SotaWatch is confused !

I suspect something in the code that pulls names from the SotaWatch user database is not quite working correctly and is matching ‘MW/HB9CZF/P’ against some other users record in the database and not yours.

(I briefly put a spot on using just ‘HB9CZF’ as the call and it showed correctly as ‘Dominik’)

Today RBNGate called me “Chris”, although nobody used that name while I was on Pen y Fan (GW/SW-001). Seems to be a random pattern in the system
