Hi all,

I had great fun activating in Scotland and the Lake District, the very odd weather was a blast and got many QSOs and some great views.

I managed to sucessfully activating all summits bar 2 only using VHF, but did accompany the QSOs with HF ones. It is great to get activity on 2m!

Thanks to the Scottish chasers who helped me activate on VHF

To challenge myself a little, I have gone for a video format rather than a writeup. I might try this again in the future, but I am far from the professional that Fraser is.

Great trip, great weather, video montage and soundtrack. Nice to see @G4IPB in there too. :grinning:

Alex @GM5ALX told me he was delighted to have a 2m S2S to Schiehallion. Think that made his day.

The S2S made it seem worthwhile carting my inconvenient antenna up! Also see you’re nearly half a goat! :goat:

Inconvenient but a far better job than the yagi I tried to make! Maybe I’ll adjust it and see if I can make it better for SOTA activities

Good to have QSOs with you up north, I’ll be up next year… Just have to decide where. Thinking either focussing more on Fort William area or if I want to avoid the crowds go to Arran or the Cairngorms…
