Seems we have quite a tussle developing at the top of All Associations.

The tussle is over…Heinz will never be caught.

His last 3 activations yielded a total of 487 s2s points, including 209 yesterday alone, a probable record. If you add in 3 of his other June activations, the 6th, 7th and 8th, you get 832 s2s points in 6 climbing days.

Obviously, Heinz is the new chairman of the Iron Bottom Meritocracy. Congrats to him and good luck ruling the IBM.

Now I thought of it as the BCB - buttock callus brotherhood!
As I am only interested in phone I hadn’t noticed the runaway ascendency on CW!

Wow…most amazing is that Heinz has achieved this since April 15! At this rate he could achieve Platinum S2S (5000 points) in another 4-5 months.
Congratulations Heinz!

Some of us are happy to make just a single S2S during an activation…

You can’t do that Mike - you were one of the leading campaigners for the existence of such an award. You are therefore honour-bound to continue to support it with your excellent participation.

Thanks for the compliments.
Interesting, until now I thought to be a competitior for the blackcock and cuckoo only
By the way, I’m not primarily focused to scores and awards ;-(
Anyway, I considered myself very lucky from the beginning to have the opportunity to climb summits to practice HAM Radio (low power, CW, focused to DX, never using the illegal suffix /QRP). Yes, I love to be with flora and fauna and to prevail against wind and weather.
The starting shot to join SOTA was the nice written contribution “SOTA Expedition to Canary Islands”, Juerg, HB9BIN, HBradio 3-2012, pp 13-14.
To conclude, I appreciate that SOTA allows the participants to choose individual targets and I’m glad to see the growing number of members.

Yes, guess who is top of the All Associations table for SSB - and since so many people say that SOTA is easier with CW, the converse is that it is harder with phone and therefore there is more merit in doing well with phone. The phone S2S is the premier award!
Incidentally, I notice that six of the top ten calls on the phone table come from the land where the sun goes from right to left instead of left to right, which is terrific!

What on earth are you talking about?
In reply to MW0IML:

It’s getting crowded here in the s2s room. Now there are five of us. One more and we’ll have enough to secure a pub table. Ricky, don’t forget there is a trophy available for your accomplishment. You can have a distinctive colour for your lettering, too. Just ask Barry to deliver it “as engraved” and it will come sans paint, which you can add yourself. Mine are blue, yellowish green, red and black. On one of them, I sprinkled some sparkles.
.
Now, we have to think of a way to slow down Heinz. Ball and chain? Nah, too Edwardian. Poison Ivy sabotage? Nah, too obvious. Ah, I know: Handicap by limiting him to 160 meters. Perfect. Who’s gonna tell him? Can’t be me, 'cause I already have one black eye…I don’t need a matching pair.

and therefore there is more merit in doing well with phone…
You probably have to be able to do, and have operating experience of both modes in order to make a qualified judgement.
Then again, I could extend that logic further and claim to be the world’s bestest SOTA activator based solely upon my 12m PSK31 exploits…
