Congrats Roman on achieving your first goat! You’re not only a specialist for the Swabian Jura but enjoy also tougher mountains. So enjoy your personal mix making you happy while you are collecting the herbs for your next goat!
Congrats Roman !
I don’t have the best memories at Plettenberg, it’s the summit where my car battery failed (see ON7DQ (KF0CR) HAM Radio Blog: ON7DQ Friedrichshafen 2018 - Day 7 ).
I hope you had a wonderful day, and can enjoy many more activations…

I am happy to have worked you S2S today from the Wohntalhocheck (OE/ST-465); on 60m as well. The weather was cooler today, but still pleasant in the sun. I started out on Gfjall (OE/ST-347):
I had tried calling CQ at 5.3545, but the SSB was getting too much. With the filters on the KX2 closed it didn’t bother me much, but I could tell the chasers were having trouble. That’s when Roman’s alert came through and gave me even more impetus to QSY. Well done Roman, good luck with your next 1000 points!

Congratulations, Roman, on achieving Mountain Goat and thank you very much for so many SOTA QSOs, including S2S.
I’ll be looking forward to making many more QSOs along your way to your 2nd MG.
73,
@ all:
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really enjoyed reading your replies which express the good fellowship.
It was only last year in March, when I thought it might be possible to reach Mountain Goat within the next 12 months. For many years, I took this hobby as a pleasant relaxation. I like climbing the mountains and playing radio outdoors. But I didn’t care much about points. Yet it was time to change my attitude. Living at the foot of the Swabian Jura with its numerous 10-pointers helped a lot with my plan.
It was an amazing time. I went to places I probably wouldn’t have visited otherwise. And I’m happy to have met @HB9EKO, Jens, and @DM3FAM, Marcel in person on DM/BW-041 and DM/BW-002 respectively.
I’m pretty sure that I’ll continue activating. Chasing S2S attracts me a lot and maybe I’ll return to more alpine summits.
This is what awaited me back home: An extremely delicious summit made by the family while I was on tour!
Finally I would like to thank all my chasers. Only with your support it was possible to reach this milestone.
And I want to sincerely thank the people behind SOTA who keep it all going.
Friend Roman, great joy to be in the log with which you reach the MG, we hope to continue sharing the radio and the mountain, many times more.
