For the 4th Swiss SOTA Activity Day held last Saturday June 17, 2018, we had generally nice, in some cases partly cloudy weather. This lead to 42 activations on 38 different summits in Switzerland. Clemens HB9EWO was the first activator of the day when he climbed the difficult summit Kleinen Mythen (HB/SZ-020) and was already on the air at 08:34. Our activity day wrapped up at approximately 16:00 with Hannes HB9AGO on HB/TG-008 and Paul HB9DST on HB/JU-010. Because we are approaching the sunspot minimum in Solar Cycle 24, DX conditions for the SOTA Activity Day were, as expected, far from optimal.
