On 12 august we have activated a summit in the south of The Netherlands. “We” are Maurice, PD1BZV and Geert, PA7ZEE. Arrival around 0800 UTC. The summit is close to the parking place and the little climb allows more equipment and battery weight than normal. Within 45 minutes we were QRV. Maurice had a tall mast with a four element 2 m yagi on top. Further more he experimented with a 20 m GP and a dipole. He had a total of 10 QSO’s in the log. Geert had a mast of 8m (ex offshore lifeboat equipment) and a doublet antenna with two 18 mwires. He had at the end of the day 13 QSO’s in the log. Surprising was, compared with the home QTH, that there was no QRM! Closing remark is that on this day there was rain all over The Netherlands but not on ‘our’ summit.
