Rain radar web site

I couldn’t find mention of this website when searching the archives so here goes.

http://www.meteoradar.co.uk is the basic site.

Lots of options to be played with. I find that the most useful now is:

It’s been snowing here since 7.00am non-stop. I’ve never seen so much snow fall out of the sky. Here’s the good bit, the amount of snow on the ground is slightly less at 4.05pm than at 7.00am  Sno on mountains is FB with me. Snow on the roads etc. is what I don’t want, it stops you getting to the mountains!

Hello Andy, good five minute cycle time on the site - useful, thanks.

+2C here in East Sussex and snow melting off the trees but will freeze again tonight.

Yes, that is the snow we had yesterday, we didn’t want it so we sent it north!

This is the map I use, in 15 minute intervals instead of 5 minutes but I find it adequate:

It snowed all day yesterday but only dumped 3 inches on top of the 6 inches we had Friday and one inch on Thursday, the main roads have been kept open here but the side streets are death traps!
