Many thanks Ken for posting this. It is certainly something that I have never really thought about.
On that note, with winter fast approaching, we should all take a little bit of time to read up on Mountian Safety, especially issues relating to winter conditions.
Lake Distrrict Mountain Rescue has some good information in their site.
They have also published a new safety leaflet.
